In recent years, MCLC has sponsored different programs designed to improve the quality of life for foster and juvenile justice children.

What to Do When Stopped by the Police

MCLC sponsored a series of programs titled “What to Do When Stopped by the Police.”  The goal was to enable law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and defense attorneys to engage with students and the community at large to help protect lives and safeguard everyone’s rights.

Foster Parent Forums

 

Due to the critical shortage of licensed foster homes for children who have been abused and neglected, MCLC sponsored and held informational forums at various locations in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. These forums were designed to provide information on the licensing process and interest individuals and couples in becoming foster parents.
